Steelers’ Brett Keisel hosts town hall meeting using Concert-oh technology

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel showed off his grizzly beard and Internet savvy on Nov. 3, by hosting a town hall meeting with fans on Chorus Call’s Web site Concert-oh.

Keisel published a Web cam and spent an hour taking questions from fans using a virtual hand-raising tool on the site. He joined the meeting from a friend’s house in Squirrel Hill.

Fans talked to Keisel about issues ranging from his beard-grooming habits and family atmosphere in the Steelers’ locker room to his younger teammates’ contributions this season and love of competition.

“Glad that I can sit here and do some chitty-chatting with you all,” Keisel said. “How’s everybody doing? We’ll see how it goes. This is a whole new thing, this Internet chat thing. Maybe this is something we can do a lot.”

Currently, the Concert-oh site can simultaneously service web cameras, audio conversations,  desktop and document sharing, text chatting and more from separate locations. Users of the site can experience web-based virtual meetings, with multiple attendees, from any computer.

Concert-oh is powered by Chorus Call, a teleconferencing company in Monroeville.  To join Concert-oh, go to http://www.concert-oh.com/.
