Avere Joins the VMware Technology Alliance Partner Program

Avere Systems, the Pittsburgh-based company setting new performance benchmarks in tiered NAS with its Demand-Driven Storage™ solutions, joined the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program.  The VMware TAP program helps technology vendors integrate their products with VMware virtualization software and deliver timely, joint solutions to mutual customers.

“We are excited to welcome Avere Systems as the newest member of the VMware TAP program,” said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware.  “The VMware TAP program offers companies like Avere the tools and resources they need to develop high-value solutions that meet the needs of our mutual customers.”

“As a member of VMware’s Technology Alliance Program, we look forward to delivering enhanced value to mutual customers looking for storage solutions that provide the improved performance and cost containment that they are looking for,” said Ron Bianchini, co-founder and CEO of Avere Systems.  “By separating data delivery from data retention to better and more efficiently optimize performance and capacity of mass storage systems, we are well positioned to improve the performance in server virtualization environments.  This record-setting performance combined with a dramatic reduction in disks, power and floor space makes Avere a compelling solution within VMware environments.”

With more than 1,000 members worldwide, the VMware TAP program works with best-of-breed technology partners to provide them a comprehensive set of VMware technical and marketing services, support, tools and expertise to deliver enhanced value to joint customers.
