Tiversa Named Best Place to Work Finalist

Tiversa

Tiversa has been named as a finalist for the Pittsburgh Business Times Best Place to Work in Western Pennsylvania. Known for its work in the world of cybersecurity, Tiversa is listed with 39 other organizations hoping to be honored as one of three winners at an awards luncheon on Oct. 17, 2012, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Westin Convention Center Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA.

Finalists were decided from the results of an online employee survey completed in the last several months.

“Tiversa is a special place,” said CEO Bob Boback. “We have built an organization which is changing the world and are enjoying ourselves while we change it. Though our technology is the power behind what we do, it’s our employees who are the real stars. There is no Tiversa without the hard work, passion for innovation and the unselfish attitude of the team here.”

For nearly 10 years, Tiversa has been providing P2P Intelligence services to corporations, government agencies and individuals based on patented technologies that can monitor over 550 million users issuing 1.8 billion searches a day. Requiring no software or hardware, Tiversa can locate exposed files, provide copies, determine file sources and assist in remediation and risk mitigation.

“Though we have been in business for nearly a decade, we have remained under the radar due to the nature of the business and clients we serve,” added Boback. “However, things are ever-changing at Tiversa and the future is brighter than ever.  We have just moved our headquarters to downtown Pittsburgh and we have a plan that will not only grow and shine a light on Tiversa, but for the city of Pittsburgh as well.”

MarketSpace Communications’ Pam Peters named 2012 Diamond Award Recipient

MarketSpace Communications, a full-service branding agency based in Cranberry Township, is pleased to announce that President & CEO Pam Peters was recently recognized as a 2012 Diamond Award winner by the Pittsburgh Business Times. The awards program, held on April 26 at the Lexus Club at PNC Park, recognized Peters and her fellow 14 recipients.

The Diamond Award aims to honor outstanding business leaders in southwestern Pennsylvania. The winners are all CEOs or hold the equivalent position within their company or nonprofit organization.

During Peters’ acceptance speech, she described the valuable gamble she took when beginning MarketSpace. “Yes, I was taking a risk,” said Peters. “But it’s so much more than that. I’ve always had a passion and drive and believed that anything is possible – absolutely anything if you put your mind to it.”

Peters was also sure to attribute the award and her successes to her employees.

“To me, receiving this Diamond Award isn’t just about my business leadership,” said Peters. “Yes, the success of our company is part of that; but, even more so, it’s about our MarketSpace philosophy, our culture and most importantly, our associates. MarketSpace is all about our people and their talents, and that’s what helps us grow.”

Peters started her career in a corporate environment, and from there joined a local advertising agency as a creative director. In October 2005 she founded MarketSpace, which has since grown to more than 20 employees, and is today a flexible, nimble agency leading the way in marketing, technology and green solutions for clients. Peters has guided the agency’s client list to span 30 active clients across the nation, though the majority are still local to the Pittsburgh region, where Pam was born and raised.

Outside of work, Peters dedicates time to a number of local community organizations. She is on the boards of the St. Gregory Centennial Endowment and Butler County Community College, and volunteers on the St. Gregory Super Bingo committee. She also supports the annual Cranberry CUP in Cranberry Township.

MarketSpace is a certified Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
