|Vivisimo, the leader in Information Optimization, announced it received the highest ranking in Ovum’s 2010 Decision Matrix for Enterprise Search and Retrieval (ESR) for a private firm. The report evaluated twelve vendors including Autonomy, Endeca, Exalead, Google, IBM, Microsoft, and Oracle. According to the Ovum report, Vivisimo’s Velocity platform is one of the most technologically advanced systems of the group, which is what catapulted the company to the head of the report’s “Consider” group.
“Ovum’s classification of Vivisimo in its 2010 report is a true reflection of the considerable mindshare and marketshare the company has received as a result of solving core business and operational challenges with our Information Optimization platform for government and commercial organizations,” said John Kealey, CEO of Vivisimo. “One of the most gratifying aspects of the report was how close Vivisimo came to market behemoth and publicly traded Autonomy. For a private firm of our size, its remarkable how much positive change we are creating in the industry as a result of our Information Optimization platform.”
Vivisimo’s classification in the Ovum report underscores one of the company’s most successful years ever. The company has nearly doubled its clientele, with strong penetration in markets such as manufacturing, healthcare, civilian government and defense. Earlier this year Vivisimo secured one of the largest deals in its history, a record $5 million dollar deal with one of the most respected brands in the world. Blending people, processes and technology into its Information Optimization (IO) platform, Vivisimo’s IO has turned into an industry trend as a result of widespread adoption by more than 120 government agencies, Fortune 500 firms and other industry juggernauts that need more than just traditional enterprise search and Business Intelligence functionality to transform their information into quantifiable business value.
